Department Notice — Retirement of Lt. Colonel Cosmin

The Texas Department of Public Safety would like to formally announce the retirement of Lieutenant Colonel Cosmin, effective May 26, 2026.

Lieutenant Colonel Cosmin's journey began on April 16, 2024, a day that marked the beginning of a path defined by service, commitment, dedication, passion, and history.

April 16 was the day Lieutenant Colonel Cosmin made his first steps into this department, without realizing what he would eventually become for it. Day by day, he grew alongside the community, engaged with fellow Troopers, and advanced through the ranks one by one until reaching the honorable position that many aspire to achieve: Lieutenant Colonel within the Texas Department of Public Safety.

For a total of 495 days, Lieutenant Colonel Cosmin faithfully served the State of Texas. The dedication he showed in every task entrusted to him was truly remarkable. Through perseverance, professionalism, and constant involvement, he proved himself to be a valuable member of this department and a respected leader among his peers.

Today, May 26, 2026, we take a moment to thank Lieutenant Colonel Cosmin for his service, commitment, and the impact he made within the Texas Department of Public Safety. His journey stands as a testament to dedication, leadership, and loyalty to the values that define this department.
