Department Policy
The Texas DPS Code of Conduct establishes the minimum standard of professional behavior expected of every member, on duty and off.
Members will conduct themselves with professionalism at all times, both in-game and within department communications. Toxicity, harassment, and unprofessional behavior will not be tolerated.
All members are expected to respect superior officers, follow lawful orders, and use appropriate channels for grievances. Disrespect toward supervisors is a punishable offense.
Members will engage in realistic, immersive roleplay consistent with the policies of a real public safety department. Failure-roleplay, power-tripping, and meta-gaming are strictly prohibited.
Force will be used only when reasonable, necessary, and proportional to the threat. Officers must articulate the justification for any use of force in their reports.
Internal department information, investigations, and command discussions are confidential and may not be shared outside the department without proper authorization.
Violations of this Code will result in disciplinary action ranging from formal warnings and strikes to suspension or removal from the department.
